Switching out of S mode in Windows - Microsoft Support

I built a PC, purchased your operating system for that PC, and now Microsoft has this "S" mode which won't even allow me to install third party software even if I want to? And when I read the "S" Mode faq, it even says that if I take my pc out of "S" Mode, I will only be able to run bit software, not bit software?

First this is a forum of users. Second you did not check what the different types of Windows did what and the requirements. Enterprise is for companies that will have multiple computers under their license. S is for computers that will only purchase apps from the Microsoft store. Thanks for your feedback.

I'm a Windows technical expert. I'll be happy to help you out today. S-Mode is a Microsoft-only experience. That means you are limited to the Store and Microsoft programs. That is made clear in Microsoft documentation.

That said, you can elect to remove S-mode at anytime. In fact, I am not entirely sure why you would have decided to install Windows 10 in S mode for a custom built PC. That would be the first I heard of someone doing this. By the way, I dont work for Microsoft, but if you read the EULA for any product you install from Microsoft or any other 3rd party program you pay for , you are agreeing to hand over a certain amount of control to Microsoft to manage their operating system however they want.
